IN THE ROUGH..

Super excited to venture into this new world, I brewed the first batch and poured the right quantity of tea and sugar along with the bacteria in it . Covered the vat of liquid with cotton cloth for air to pass, sealed it properly and left it in a dark corner for a week. Very excited to see the results, I kept checking the container with a torch to see what’s happening inside. Unfortunately, after a week, I observed black dots on the surface of bacteria and I realised that it has caught mold 😦

Lessons Learnt:-

1- I forgot to add starter tea while brewing the liquid. Hence, the environment inside the container was not acidic enough for the bacteria to survive and it attracted fruit flies and caught mold.
