BIO TEXTILES

Using nature as a solution for growing environmental problems by using microbial cellulose to produce textiles. The idea is to grow a piece of clothing in a vat of liquid.   The fibres are material itself and the formation is done by a microbe rather than a plant. Natural fibres being of organic nature are perishable and their decomposition is a natural phenomenon.

The wearable object serves to stimulate a conversation over the future implication of bio materials as the functions and properties that they hold have the potential to be very useful and they have the ability to organically decompose and therefore they don’t create any kind of pollution or harm to the environment.
